Provide continuous level monitoring system for Bullet tank at Dung Quat LPG depot

The system installs a level measuring device using guided radar waves (Guided radar measurement Time-of-Flight Levelflex FMP51) to continuously report the level for importing and extracting LPG from the Bullet tank. The monitoring through the display device at the bottom of the tank (RIA15 Loop-powered indicator for 4 to 20 mA or HART signals), ensures strict compliance with explosion-proof standards and makes it easier for operators and monitoring.

Field of application

Levelflex FMP51 for level measurement even under extreme process conditions like
high temperature and high pressure in the process industry. FMP51 offers maximum reliability even in case of moved surface and foam or when numerous tank baffles interfere with the measurement. Levelflex FMP51 is used for continuous level measurement of liquids, pastes and slurries but also for interface measurement. The measurement is not affected by changing media, temperature changes, gas blankets or vapors.

Version with rod, rope or coax probe.

  • Process connections: Threads or flange

  • Temperature: -50 to +200°C (-58 to +392°F)

  • Pressure: -1 to +40bar (-14.5 to +580psi)

  • Maximum measuring range: Rod 10m (33ft), rope 45m (148ft), coax 6m (20ft)

  • Accuracy: ±2mm (0.08")

  • International explosion protection certificates, overfill prevention WHG, SIL, marine approval, 5-point linearity protocol

Field of application

The process indicator is available with 4 to 20 mA or with HART® protocol. In the HART® version up to 4 measured values of one sensor can be indicated in alternation. For this the indicator can be set as primary or secondary HART® master and actively inquire the values from the sensor. The small voltage drop of < 1V (< 1.9 V with HART®) is a huge advantage especially in Ex-applications, where in most cases only a reduced voltage is available.

  • Display of 4 to 20 mA measured values or HART® process variables in all industries

  • Panel-mount housing or field housing as local display

  • Scalable display value

  • With the "Level" or "Analysis" options, basic settings can be made on selected sensors and available measured values and units can be preset quickly and easily.
