CHIEF REPRESENTATIVE OF ENDRESS+HAUSER VIETNAM VISITS WILMAR QUANG NINH
Last week, Chief Representative of Endress+Hauser Asia-Pacific, Mr Camillo Di Palma, had a meeting with Wilmar Quang Ninh – a giant partner of NK Engineering and Endress+Hauser in Vietnam, in order to support them more efficiently in managing their production system.
Wilmar International is today Asia’s leading agribusiness group. Wilmar’s business activities include oil palm cultivation, oilseeds crushing, edible oils refining, sugar milling and refining, specialty fats, oleochemicals, biodiesel and fertilizers manufacturing and grains processing.
In 1996, Wilmar Group entered into a joint venture with Vietnam General Vegetable Oil Corporation (Vocarimex), invested Cai Lan Vegetable Oil Processing Plant (CALOFIC) in Cai Lan Port, Quang Ninh Province with an initial investment of USD 22 million, now increasing to USD 138 million. CALOFIC set foundation and has been the backbone of manufacturing and processing vegetable oils in Vietnam.
Currently, the capacity of Calofic plants is up to 1,150 tons/day and accounts for more than 50% of the market share of bottled oil with well-known vegetable cooking oil brands as Neptune, Simply, Meizan, Cai Lan, Kiddy, Olivoi. In order to meet the domestic demand and export, the entire production line of the factory is equipped with modern machinery, automatic operation from the stage of loading raw materials to the packaging of products.
Comprised of Endress+Hauser and NK Engineering for many years, Wilmar has built a tank gauging system meets Custody transfer standards for its raw materials and oil finished product tanks. At present, NK Engineering is also involved in the project of supply and installation of radar level gauges for the tank systems at their tank farm.
In addition, NK Engineering has provided the package solution for import and export management of material as well as the distribution of finished oils, and commercial deliveries to Wilmar's shipping and tank truck system based on the state-of-the-art features of Coriolis Endress+Hauser flow meters.
