Prosonic – Endress+Hauser Level Measurement

The Prosonic ultrasonic level measurement device from Endress+Hauser offers a continuous, non-contact, and maintenance-free solution for liquids, sludge, powders, bulk solids, and even coarse materials. Ultrasonic technology operates reliably, unaffected by the dielectric constant, density, or moisture of the medium, and features self-cleaning capability thanks to the sensor’s vibration effect.

This cost-effective measurement method has been proven in numerous industrial applications. Prosonic is designed by Endress+Hauser in two versions: compact and remote, ensuring easy installation, quick operation, long service life, and low maintenance costs.

Measuring principle of Ultrasonic Level Measurement

Prosonic operates based on the Time-of-Flight principle.

    • The sensor emits ultrasonic pulses directed toward the product surface.
    • Ultrasonic waves are reflected back when they encounter the surface of the medium.
    • The device measures the travel time of the reflected wave and calculates the distance accordingly.
    • Using information about the tank shape, the device accurately determines the level of the material inside.

The ultrasonic level measurement device operates based on the Time-of-Flight principle
