Measuring principle of Capacitance Level Measurement

The measurement principle is based on the change in capacitance of a capacitor:

    • The probe and the tank wall form the two plates of a capacitor.
    • When the tank is empty, the capacitance value is low; as the tank fills, the capacitance value increases proportionally to the material level in the tank.
    • This capacitance signal is analyzed by the device to accurately determine the level of liquid or bulk solid.
    • Additionally, this technology also enables measurement of the interface between two different liquid layers.
