Continuous Level Monitoring Solution in LPG Bullet Tank

A guided radar (Time-of-Flight Levelflex FMP51) level measurement system is installed for continuous level monitoring during the filling and discharging of LPG from Bullet tanks. Monitoring is facilitated by a display device at the tank base (RIA15 Loop-powered indicator for 4 to 20 mA or HART signals), ensuring strict compliance with explosion-proof standards and simplifying operations and supervision.

    • Cable Probe: 316, 316L, Alloy C, Ceramic
    • Coaxial Probe: 316L, Alloy C, Ceramic, PFA

Field Applications:

The Levelflex FMP51 is used for liquid level measurement even under harsh process conditions such as high temperature and high pressure in industrial processes. The Levelflex FMP51 provides maximum reliability even in the presence of turbulent surfaces, foam, or when tank internals obstruct the measurement. It is used for continuous level measurement of liquids, pastes, and slurries, and is also suitable for measuring liquids with an interface. The measurement is unaffected by changes in the medium, temperature variations, or covering gases and vapor.

  • Available versions with rod, cable, or coaxial probe.

2. RIA15 Loop-powered indicator for 4 to 20 mA or HART signals:

Technical Specifications:

  • Input

    • 1 x analog signal 4 … 20 mA / HART®

  • Output

    • Not specified

  • Display

    • 17 mm (0.67″) LCD
    • 5 digits
    • 7-segment bar graph
    • Plain text display for unit / TAG
    • Configurable backlight
  • Power Supply

    • Loop-powered

Field Applications:

In the HART® version, up to 4 measured values from one sensor can be assigned alternately. For this purpose, the indicator can be set as a HART® primary or secondary and actively polls the values from the sensor. The low voltage drop of <1V (<1.9 V with HART®) is a significant advantage, especially in legacy applications where often only minimal voltage drop is available.

  • Displays measured values from 4 to 20 mA or HART® process variables across all industries.

  • The display value is scalable.

  • With the “Level” or “Analysis” options, basic settings can be made on selected sensors, and available measured values and units can be preset quickly and easily.
