Earthing Clamping System for Tanker Trucks

To dissipate static electricity during the loading and unloading of flammable media such as gasoline, oil, and gas between tanker trucks and loading stations, the installation of earthing clamps is crucial for ensuring explosion-proof safety.

In July 2024, NK Engineering supplied and installed the Emco Wheaton DCMT4 earthing clamp device for the tanker truck loading/unloading system at one of the world’s largest Oil and Gas Corporations in Vietnam, helping to minimize the risk of fire and explosion caused by electrical sparks between tanker trucks and loading/unloading stations.

Any static electricity generated during the transfer of media is dissipated to the ground and neutralized by the DCMT4 device. A warning light is immediately activated if the earthing clamp is not properly connected to the fitting, allowing operators to easily recognize and take timely action.
