Endress+Hauser’s Solution for Ship Fuel Consumption Management Systems
In the maritime industry, the management and monitoring of ship fuel (bunkers) are being actively researched and implemented. The use of measurement instrumentation enables better management for operators and calculation of engine fuel efficiency.
A solution diagram is shown below:
The system utilizes Coriolis flowmeters to measure the amount of fuel supplied to the main engine and the excess fuel returned to the storage tank. This data is sent to a data acquisition and calculation unit located in the control room.
The measured data can be transmitted to the Head Office via satellite data transmission solutions, as illustrated below::
