In the context of Vietnam accelerating the development of LNG infrastructure and gas-to-power projects, the demand for measurement, monitoring, and storage management solutions for LNG is becoming increasingly crucial. In particular, the precise control of LNG level, temperature, and volume within storage tanks plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational safety, optimizing storage management efficiency, and enhancing reliability in custody transfer.

In order to proactively prepare technical capabilities for upcoming LNG projects in Vietnam, NK Engineering sent our team of engineers to participate in the intensive LNG Tank Gauging Solutions Masterclass at Endress+Hauser Yamanashi, Japan. The program focused on Endress+Hauser’s advanced measurement and tank management technologies, including: 

• • NMR84 Radar Level Gauge: Continuous level measurement using 6 GHz non-contact radar technology and stable level measurement solutions for LNG storage tanks at ultra-low (cryogenic) temperatures.
  • NMS81 Tank Gauging Proservo: High-precision servo level measurement technology, supporting inventory management, loss control, and enhancing reliability in custody transfer.
  • NMT81 Multi-Parameter Temperature Gauge: Multi-point temperature measurement system, providing critical data for inventory calculation and monitoring LNG storage tank operating conditions.
  • LTD – Level, Temperature & Density Gauge: Layer-by-layer LNG level, temperature, and density measurement solution within the storage tank, helping detect stratification, providing data for predicting rollover risks, and supporting the prevention of safety incidents during LNG storage.
  • Tankvision LMS – LNG Management System: Integrated system for managing LNG tank measurement data, supporting real-time storage monitoring, LNG volume calculation, and stratification & rollover risk analysis to enhance management efficiency and operational safety.

     Moving beyond just learning about technology, the training program served as an opportunity for the NK Engineering engineering team to enhance their deep knowledge and capabilities in consulting, designing, integrating, and deploying synchronized LNG tank management solutions tailored to the technical requirements and practical conditions of each project.
